Recently, Facebook has made some big changes to Facebook pages to be able to better support small and local businesses and beat the ever declining reach and engagement that businesses are suffering from.
Facebook has finally taken the steps to create additional value for business pages by simplifying it for people to interact with businesses and find the relevant information they need most. Nowadays, the Facebook page is coming more so like a website for businesses as it is a popular destination people will go to when they want information, or to make a purchase or booking and more so so a place to engage with content.
In current digital era, word of mouth and more importantly reviews have become crucial to local businesses as well as consumers purchasing decisions. For example, when finding somewhere to eat people often look at the recommendations of others.
Therefore, Facebook’s new feature is bound to be successful for businesses as people will now be able to post a recommendation for businesses which will help you reach people whilst they are searching for your business.
You may have noticed, at the top of Facebook business pages there is a row of prominent action buttons which allow customers to carry out several actions such as; book an appointment, send a message, phone the business or gain directions. Better yet, you can choose the action buttons that are most suited to your business.
To further help businesses on Facebook, businesses can now feature information such a hours, prices, offers, or even a menu on Page prominently at the top.
Since the launch of Facebook stories over a year ago, Facebook has been testing methods to make it easier for people to engage with brands stories and with the latest update, people can now view stories by tapping on the page profile photo.
Furthermore, Facebook is testing ‘Story Highlights’ allowing people & brands to pick their favorite expired photos and videos to compile them into collections.
